Staffing Regulations

At our program, the adult child ratio is 1-4. There are 2 teaching staffs, and myself working with the children on a daily basis. Staffs are screened for a criminal background Check, finger printed and are required to provide a TB screening. All adults working with the children have CPR and First Aid training certificate and required to have it renewed every 2 years.

Each school year, a High School student from Mission Valley Regional Occupational Program, in Fremont, will be placed at Smiling Faces for an on–site training. These students benefit by watching our positive role modeling, while working with the children. They are required to complete 8 hours of training at a qualified Preschool Program. We are honored to have these students come to our program to gain the skills needed for future career growth. We sure need more qualified, loving and patient Early Childhood educators!

If you don’t have a smile, I’ll give you one of mine.
