Word From The Director

Smiles are the language of love.

– David Hare –

Hello,

My name is Katie Do (the children call me “Miss Katie”).  My desire to work with young children started as early as in middle school.  My mother always noticed how natural I was around kids.  I have been in the Early Childhood field since 1990 and have worked at various childcare centers: Montessori of Fremont, Kids Wonderland and Kidango.

I attended a year at Cal State Hayward to study Human Development, and decided to get my Associate Degree from Ohlone College, majoring in Early Childhood Education.  I also taught at the Regional Occupational Program, in Fremont, as a Vocational Early Childhood instructor.  I am very proud of my choices and accomplishments.  I knew from the beginning that working with young children was going to be my passion.  I am one of few, who can honestly say “I love my job!” The children’s smiles and laughters, truly brighten up my days.

After working 16 years in a center based program, it was my dream to start up my own childcare and preschool program in my home.  My husband, whom I’ve been married to since 1992, did not hesitate to give me his full support.  We decided to open our home in 2005 to start my childcare program.  My husband witnessed first hand, daily, how much dedication I put into working with the children.  We also have three amazing children of our own, two boys and one girl.  They are our “education” of how to understand children and to be the best parents that we could be.

Over the course of the years, I found it very rewarding to have such an impact in the minds of these incredible children.  To be able to provide, to care and to educate them at their most important formative years, I feel priviledged for this opportunity.  Having a small number of children to work with, versus the large number in a center based program, I was able to provide more of an individualized attention.

I have dedicated my career to make sure I can provide the highest quality care and education for your children.  I understand the stress parents go through to finding a safe, and loving environment for their child. I am confident to say, our program will provide the environment your child needs. By doing so, my staff and I will give them the love and the sense of security when they need it most. We will aknowledge each child on a daily basis, as children need to feel recognized. We will provide a peace of mind to the parents, with frequent messages and photos (the new technology has brought communication to a higher level).  With our collaboration to work together positively, the children are the winners in the end.

You will find that our program will benefit your child’s growing experiences and more!

So let the smiles begin...
